9 Years Post-Op
I have not posted in a very long time, but wanted to share that I am at 9 years post-op and still at my lowest weight - 125 lbs. I embraced the new way to eat after realizing it was the only way to go, and it is now a natural part of my life. I eat several small meals each day, protein first and then fruit and veggies, no fried food, miniscule amounts of sugar. I don't exercise either. I became a Flight Attendant 7 years ago and people are shocked when I tell them I used to be 100 lbs. overweight! BEST THING I EVER DID FOR MYSELF!

Thank you for sharing. I just had my pre-surgical class, which was very scary, only 60-80% of your weight will be lost, permanently reduced metabolism due to your stomach chemistry, etc. etc. I want to be like you and lose it all and keep it all off! I am embracing the changes and turning a page. I spent the first 50 years of my life eating all kinds of foods and I want to spend the next 50 years of my life eating only what's allowed. Becoming a bariatric patient is very serious and terrifying and I am too scared not to do exactly as I am told. You have inspired me that I can be one of the long-term success stories!
