Starting over after complete regain

I am looking to find other individuals who have completely regained all the weight lost. I am especially interested in Lap Band patients, but anyone in this predicament would be welcome. I am recommitted and I want to work with others to not only achieve my goals but help them achieve theirs too!

Hi Laurie you might want to ask the lap forum too :)

Here is the LapBand forum http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/lapband/

I would suggest searching on here (little magnifying glass, upper right corner) for LapBand fail, or regain, or whatever.

You will find a number of revision patients from LapBand too (I'm one of them).

Good Luck!

I am assuming you are banded and also that your band is currently "neutral" - not doing harm but also not helping.

if that is the case, your first step should be to check the saline level and, if necessary, get an adjustment.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Hi Kate,

Yes. You are correct. I was neutral for a long time because I was still having issues (vomiting, heartburn, etc). Even with the band neutral it took months to get rid of all my symptoms. Yesterday I just had my band adjusted. They put it 1cc. I am hoping that keeping on top of my stress, eating small meals, chewing completely, etc will allow me to keep the band and utilize it as the tool it is meant to be.

Thanks, Laurie

Hope it works well for you. But if you start vomiting again, get some saline taken out, I find even 0.1cc makes all the difference.
