13 YEARS AGO TODAY I did something that changed my life.....actually gave me a life!!

Thank you God for allowing me to be able to have Gastric Bypass!!!

“Within you right now is the power to do things you never dreamed possible. This power becomes available to you just as soon as you can change your beliefs.” ~Dr. Maxwell Maltz

I can tell you....I dreamed it.....and worked really hard to make those dreams come true....and continue to work everyday...because I have so many more dreams I want to fulfill!!
THE ONLY ONE STOPPING US IS US!!
If I can do it so can you!!
You just have to believe!!!

I am now a Registered Nurse and work on the same Bariatric Med/Surg Floor that I had my surgery one!!!

Thank God for all my blessings!!!

Congratulations! Thanks for sharing!

“Let someone love you just the way you are – as flawed as you might be, as unattractive as you sometimes feel, and as unaccomplished as you think you are. To believe that you must hide all the parts of you that are broken, out of fear that someone else is incapable of loving what is less than perfect, is to believe that sunlight is incapable of entering a broken window and illuminating a dark room.”― Marc Hack

Congrats! It's so refreshing to see someone as far out as you to still be happy with your WLS! It gives me encouragement for the future!

Wow, this is amazing, people ought to take inspirations from such lovely people like you, one who has worked hard, underwent lots of pain and discomfort for a better life and has succeeded in this quest AND is now sharing her story to let others get motivated. My hearty congratulations to you.

Thanks everyone~!! All I can say is if I can do it so can you!!! Just do what your surgeon tells you to and NEVER STOP DOING IT!!

This is a tool we use to help us and you have to make a lifestyle change FOR LIFE...to have continued success!!

But everyone can do it....just believe in yourself.....and never stop!!! I wish everyone much success and happiness!!

You look amazing! I am 10 years out and have gained  50 pounds within the year. I don't seem to be getting the full feeling any more. I had a gasric graphic test done and the said I didn't sreach out my pouch, Thank God. I got down to 135 pounds but looked very sick. I was great at 150-155. Do you have any suggestions?
