Odd Texture after weight loss under skin - Fascia?

Hello,

This is a bit difficult to explain and very hard to research without knowing the proper terms, but perhaps someone here will have the knowledge or point me in a good direction.

Now that I have lost a noticeable amount of weight, when rubbing on areas such as the front of my thigh, I can feel what seems like a ropy net or lumpy interconnected web under the skin but above the muscle.  Any thoughts on what this is? My massage therapist says it is knots in the fascia which can be loosened by manipulation, but reading up online it seems there are just as many people who claim you can't loosen fascia.  If it even *is* fascia.

Do any of you also feel this texture?  Any thoughts or ideas?

I have a couple of lumps and knots.  They don't hurt or anythhing...just 'odd'

Yes I am lumpy too. figure it is just stubborn lumpy fat.
