I am down to hours and getting quite nervous. I feel I am ready but thinking can I really do this? Anyone have any positive thoughts for this newbie?

I'm still waiting on my date so I can understand. But not a day goes by that I'm not planning my new life. You will be fine. Follow directions, pay attention to what your body is telling you. If you can't drink water, eat ice. I'm going to freeze Gatorade to pop in my mouth. Take a deep breath and know you are important enough to go through this. It all starts with that first step. Best of luck.

Best of luck! I'm sure everything will go great and you will be looking/feeling your best in no time 😄

Last minute nerves are perfectly normal and I would be more worried if you didn't have any!

Most of us sail through surgery, recovery and weight loss and as long as you don't think that you have all this down too quickly and use the first year or so to learn your new lifestyle in terms of diet, exercise, vitamins and labs etc - you will set yourself up well for long term maintenance.

Be strong; you are going to change your life for the better. Your surgery is just the beginning of a brighter future.
