Doc wants me to wait 6 months to have Sleeve after LapBand removal?

Hello!  I had LapBand surgery in August 2012 and have suffered a prolapse.  I am wanting to have the band removed and get Sleeve revision surgery but my current doctoe (not my original surgeon) said I would need to wait 6 months after the band is removed to have the Sleeve put in.  Does this sound like normal protocol?  TIA!

Some do, some don't! I suggest posting on the VSG board, there are quite a few band to sleeve people there. 

Hi, Im currently in the process of having my band removed and having the sleeve done.  I have a surgery date 5/22/14 and he is going to do both surgeries at the same time.
