My insurance policy excludes bariatric surgery therefore I have to go self pay. Has anyone had experience with this they would share?

There are a couple of Mexican surgeons with great reputations, and dozens more hacks that will take your money and leave you with a lifetime of problems.  It pays to really research the surgeon - get American references.  Don't go so much for price as you would reputation.  There are several who did their due diligence who had fabulous experiences at a fraction of the cost they would pay at home

Thank you valerie. I would like to get it done here in the united states. Its funny but a lot of american surgeons do not do 'self pay'. Crazy!!

That's because they're worried that your pockets won't be deep enough to cover things if you have complications. Which form of WLS are you  considering?
