Insurance

Hello everyone: I have Njfamily care my HMO is united health care. I've been looking for a surgeon who takes my insurance and so far I have had no luck. Help!!

Call the customer service on the front of your card - ask to speak with a supervisor - (you probably don't need one but that will make the wonderful people in member services sit up and take extra notice).  Have them check for you.  They (we, I work in health insurance) have different ways of searching for specialists.

Go to United Health Care website, they list all providers. I also have UHC and looked at surgeons throughout the midwest and about 95% of them accept UHC.

I'm having the same problem. been calling united  since March, they have been very unhelpful, they give me lists of doctors to call and none of them turn out to be bariatric surgeons...I have been looking since march. If you find one before I do let me know, and viseversa.
