Hello everyone, I was sleeved on Friday and the last few days I've have sharp pains in my lower left abdomen. It's not unbearable but very uncomfortable. Doc prescribed me Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen which helps but doesn't do the trick. I'm not sure if I should ask the doc for something stronger. Would you let me know if this medication is similar to what you prescribed. I have the weird feeling, if I ask him for something stronger he might question me which would **** me off and I don't want to get into with him. I'm having one of the painful post op days... grrrrrr. Anyways, any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I think you have nothing to lose by asking your Doc and see what happens.  Pain control is key to your recovery since you are 5 days post op,  so go for it and ask for something stronger.  I get why you are hesitant.  I reluctantly asked my surgeon for a few more pills at 5 days out as I was afraid I might need more.  He said he usually doesn't give more, but obliged me anyway, for which I was grateful.

I also found that walking helped with the pain, hopefully you can walk without causing any additional discomfort.  Good luck, and congratulations!
