burping

I had surgery Monday and it seems like every day I burp it hurts more and more is that normal or should I go to the doctors

If your surgery was lap - the burping is probably air bubbles finally dislodging themselves.  If the pain is severe, a call to the doc wouldn't hurt.

At this stage it might be normal -- I remember burping a lot after surgery, mostly because you get pumped so full of gas and it has to some out some way.  If the pain is bad, which btw, I don't remember, you should at least give your doctor a call.  Better to be safe than sorry.
