Help. I'm sick of water

I'm 4-1/2 weeks out of surgery. I'm sick of drinking water. Food goes down fine. I just feel like I'm "drowning" in it. And it makes my stomach get a rumbly feeling. Does that feeling stop? The thought of it is so yucky. Thanks.

Have you tried things other than water?  Like various crystal light flavors?

I'm there with you. I have bought some different sugar free drink mixes like crystal light and some others and I just don't like any of them so I end up back with water. Some of the Gatorade g2's are okay. Minute maid light was pretty good too. I hope you figure something out! I'm still trying.

I have to keep a variety of flavors in my pantry and change it up each bottle or I can't get my water in.  Summertime is great for sun tea though.

Now, you know that you can drink flavored drinks, right?  The key is staying away from sugary drinks.  Try different flavors and even temperatures to see what sits best.  It does feel odd at first, but this feeling does go away in time.

Yes, I like Crystal Lite. Trying not to have too much of the artificial flavors, but I guess I'll need to have more. I wonder why food is no problem but H2O is yuck?

After my rny, I hated the taste of plain water.  It's 4 years later and I STILL hate plain water.  I started to drink the SoBe vitamin waters.  Those were the thing for me!!  Been drinking them ever since.  I take them wherever I go.  I have even added a bit of the liquid Crystal Light to them to sweeten them up a bit, but not always.  They are $1 a bottle at Walmart and the 6 paks are even cheaper per bottle.

Toss in some fresh raspberries or strawberries, or lemon or lime.  Even cucumber slices in your water and let sit for a bit.  Delicious.  Or try some of the teas available in tea shops that make cold teas - peach, etc.  They are all a nice change from plain water and don't have any artificial ingredients in them!

When it comes to teas, when does your dr say you can have caffeine?

I find that decaf tea has helped me a lot.
