she did,you were right. She blocked me after she posted to me and I didn't even get to say " are you still here?" She has been promising to leave,as you say, ever since she has been here....

Jaxie,

I hear what you are saying and agree. I have experienced the same feeling from various posts along the way. The past few days, I have been seriously contemplating making another WLS site my go-to site. As I've posted several times, "there's a way to write your thoughts without being rude or condescending - even if your answers are 'tough-love' because the OP needs to hear them."

I'm not that far along, but I'll be willing to share experiences with you, sans judgement.

Lori

that's really too bad that you are thinking of leaving, but don't let the door hit you in the butt on your way out.

Thanks again and id love to share experiences with you dear :) .

Jaxxie certainly could have made HER point without being rude or condescending.

I one hundred percent guarantee you jaxie, that Hislady, of ALL people, did not mean to be either aggressive or condescending. She, like most of us, want to help people who need help, but to do that we need to know certain things. For example, if you want to know what is "normal" for a surgery, we need to know WHICH ONE so we can provide correct information for that procedure. If you've had RNY, you probably need an RNY veteran to tell you about RNY life. What's "normal" for someone with a band is probably not "normal" for someone with a DS.

On the other hand, questions about exercise can probably be answered by almost anyone.

There's no "hierarchy" here except for some people having been on OH longer than others (I've been on here 11 years) and the "older" folks knowing better how to direct someone to assistance than the newer folks. Yes, there ARE "newbies" who know almost nothing about WLS and we want to help them as much as we can. That doesn't make them stupid, just lacking in information, which we hope to provide.
