Had my sleeve to rny on the 29th and no bm. Should I take a laxative?  Maybe miralax?

You should ask your doc - but I started adding miralax to a shake right out of surgery.  Now I only use it on days I don't poop in the morning.

I didn't have a good BM for almost 2 weeks post surgery (RNY) and ended up impacted! The narcotic pain relievers were a contributing factor. I'd say call your surgeon and see what you can do to be safely proactive.

The visiting nurse told me to take a half a dose of milk of magnesia...and only milk of magnesia.  Took it at 7 PM and it worked like a charm by morning.  Good luck!

I took Miralax and it was given an ok by doctor.  They started me on a stool softener while in the hospital even.  I never had an issue.
