I was just curious to see what your favorite meal is post WLS. So it don't matter what type of surgery you had, whats your favorite healthy meal now? I am hoping to get some new ideas

I love a good filet mignon with roasted asparagus or Brussels sprouts and baked sweet potato.

With my band, I eat about 3 ounces of steak, a few pieces of veg and a few forkfuls of potato.

I'm a sucker for comfort food, so roasted ham with baked pineapple and mashed potatoes with ham gravy

I don't really have favorite meals, I never really have.  I like experimenting too much and trying new recipes, so I never eat something enough for it to be a favorite. :/  (Except sushi.  Love sushi.)

However, I do post all of my weekly meal plans here, so that might give you some ideas!  http://www.mangeratrois.net/index.php/weekly-meal-plans

Aw, thanks.  I loved cooking pre-op, and I still do.  There's no reason healthy food shouldn't taste great :D

Usually whatever I'm eating at the moment, LOL! There's not much that I DON'T like.

I enjoy the traditional steak-salad-baked potato thing. I love bacon-wrapped grilled shrimp. (I love anything wrapped in bacon and grilled. *grin*) I love to marinate chicken in Italian dressing, along with some onions, peppers, and cauliflower, then roast them all on the grill. Bacon, eggs, and sausage, along with a good vine-ripened tomato is a favorite breakfast---except when my favorite breakfast is a two-egg omlette filled with sausage, cheese, onions, peppers, and tomatoes.

And then there's ham, and turkey, and all sorts of cheese, and...well, I think you've figured out by now that I am a total foodie. The only real difference between now and when I was pre-op is that I focus more on protein and fat, less on grains and fruits.

Mmmmm... Bacon wrapped grilled shrimp! I haven't had this in quite a while.

I have to go to the grocery today, anyway, so guess what's for dinner at my house?!?  Thanks!

Same as it was pre-op: fire grilled filet mignon with green beans almondine!  One 9 ounce filet is three meals for me (even at 7 years out), so I get to enjoy it multiple times.
