How long are we supposed to avoid caffeine after surgery. I remember it being like 30 days but I'm not sure. My husband had the sleeve done on Nov 5 and is wondering about iced tea?

Honestly every surgeon says different. Mine said a lifetime because they consider it a stimulant. I did not listen to that very closely. So I would suggest calling the office and asking what they say. I drink sugar free tea every morning myself.

Caffeine slows healing is all.  If he's struggling with fluids, he'll have to drink twice as much iced tea to count for fluid intake.  One thing I adopted for a while is brewed decaf iced tea.  I couldn't tell the difference, except for it wasn't waking me up.  It tasted the same, though.
