Those of u on your 2 week pre surgery diet. How many protein drinks do u drink in a day?

On my 2 week presurg diet I was allowed 3 shakes, and one meal of protein and veggies and 2 fruits.

Mine was the same, but my one meal was to be a frozen Lean Cuisine, Weigh****chers, etc. type meal

I was allowed 3 protein drinks a day.  I could also have sf popsicles.  Today is my 13th day pre-op.  My surgery is at 10:30 in the morning.  I lost 12 pounds on the pre-op diet.  The first 4 days are brutal but then after that it gets easier.

My plan allowed 4 a day , 3 for meal replacement and one for snack . Broth , Sf jello black coffee and diet pop . I am on day 19 , surgery is at 8 am Tuesday morning ! 

I can tell you that I have only had all 4 shakes maybe 4 or 5 days out of the 19 . Just the way my days are , I've really only managed to get in the 3 , I could have had one sitting down late at night but I kind of got into the routine of having an OXO drink and my diet Pepsi at night. Consequently  I now have about a box and a half left of Opti . It will come in handy for after tho . When is your surgery ??

I started my liquid diet a week early. Today is day 7 of 23. I was not told I had to have a certain number of shakes,  I was told I have to have 100gm of protein in liquid form. I bought a big tub of whey protein powder and I mix it with different "liquids" to be right at 100gm for the day.


Here is what I had today:

12oz non fat milk with two scoops of powder = 52gm I drink that in sips all morning.

Then for lunch I had 1 cup of non fat plain yogurt with one more scoop of powder for another 31gm of protein. 

Tonight I fudged a little and had 5oz of tuna drained,  right from the can. Yummy! That's roughly 25gm. I won't be fudging beyond the two week point.

This is a grand total of 108gm.

I also drank about 80oz of water.
