OH we need a "LIKE" button

Most boards have one!  It has been raised several times on here and we are told it is being considered. Why not?

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

I dont think that OH needs this. I think it's better to need to communicate with words instead of clicking a button.

Oh I agree words are good!  But often many people say the same thing and I would just like to add my support without repeating. I use the like button a lot on FB, for example, and on other boards. I don't think I am alone in this as this request has been made of OH befire and people quite often post that they would like one. On other boards, including FB, you can see who has clicked "like" so opinions are clear. I wouldn't personally use it instead of posting; I would use it in those occasions when, now, i don't post!

My experience differs.  I find that forums with like buttons, such as Facebook, tend to generate less conversation than those with like buttons.  So I'd prefer OH to stay away from that as an option.

I actually agree with Gwen.  Even on FB, I don't look at how many people "like" something I post, but I do read the responses.  I also don't look to see how many people "liked" something someone else posted.

Honestly, just having someone click a button when they have nothing to say is pretty meaningless to me.

Just my $.02 worth...

Interesting how easy it is to assume! Having seen quite a number of people saying they wished there was a like button, I just assumed most people did!

I actually always check the likes on FB and other boards but maybe that's just me! We all have our own little ways!

How about we have both??? That way those who want to acknowledge their "like" of something are free to do so. Also, those who prefer to comment, can do so as well. Problem solved! LOL! Chris
