Sad About Lettuce

Not really sad because I know it has no nutritional value but surprised that I just can't stand lettuce now. It doesn't make me sick but just doesn't feel "right" after I eat it. Same thing happened with cucumbers which I DO love. Glad I like a variety of veggies!! Seems as if frozen and canned sit better on my stomach now rather than fresh. Hoping that will change down the line.

I too love veggies. I use to buy tons of fresh veggies and fruits. I can't do this anymore. A little go a long way. I remember I could not wait until I could have a salad again....and then it just was not the same. I still have them from time to time...but they just don't do it for me anymore.:(

I can tolerate some fresh veggies in small amounts. Lettuce is not one of them. My best choice is pickled, or cooked, and still not a lot..

Our place warned us about lettuce, carrots, apple skins, and other 'ruffage that is uncooked'. Its on the no no list...

It may change. After 6 months I was amazed at how many more things agreed with me, including salad. Tuna made me gag for 6 months. I still 1 year+ have problems with cold cuts, even turkey. Actually the only one that kinda works is deli ham...I think because it has a lot of moisture in it.

I don't eat lettuce, but I do add baby spinach and arugula to almost every meal I eat - much more flavourful and less bulk

I do definitely plan to try baby spinach! I have never eaten arugula but I may try that too! Need to get the most "bang for my buck".

Lettuce is an absolute waste of space in your tiny tummy. Offers no real nutritional value and is just "filler". Lots of good veggies out there that will give you more bang-for-the-buck
