What can I eat to get my daily intake of protein to build muscles after muscle lost?

Well, first is depends on how far out you are from surgery. Protein shakes work at any stage. I prefer to eat my protein... Meats, chicken, fish, tuna, turkey, steak. Nuts is another source of healthy fat and protein, as well as dairy.

and if you ask your nut, I sure they can give you a list, or you can just search online. M

I believe it requires significant amount of exercise as well as protein. Also depends on your age how much muscle you can regain. Any complete protein should work. Aside from protein shakes I like salmon, turkey I think has more protein than chicken. I am sure you could find a list on line of highest protein foods and probably one of the easiest to digest proteins. I wish you sincere good luck with your challenge.

You eat protein to get protein.  If you cannot eat enough, you drink it.  It doesn't have to be hard.
