Vitamin Deficiencies Aren't Just For WLS folks

on 1/15/16 3:29 am

I pay a lot of attention to my own supplements, and was sadly surprised when a dear old friend was diagnosed with major deficiencies.  She'd been feeling "under the weather" for years, and had undergone many exotic tests for heart and cancer, etc.  She finally got a PCP who said "Let's start from scratch" and did a full testing panel.  She was found to be suffering from anemia, and other problems I won't go into.

She's now getting the supplementation she needs and is reporting feeling better and better every week.

So, remember, deficiencies can happen to everyone.  Make sure your family keeps up with theirs.

Vit D deficiencies are very common in general population. Also for woman B12, iron, etc..

With so many supplementsbeing pushed on by food industry - elevated B6 is also common. (excessive B6 is really dangerous)
