SO my biggest thing is I can never get enough H2O in...someone suggested to try diet Snapple...well most diets snapples still had like 4 sugars per bottle - EXCEPT the raspberry and peach iced teas (only tea flavors i checked) - MY QUESTION IS: My drinking this - does it count as water or is it a diuretic b/cof the tea/caffine I was told was in it? Am I helping or hindering my sitation?!?!

I drink allot of diet snapple but I also get my water in (not as much as i should) My Doc told me you shouldnt use a caffiene drink to replace water..But I also hear that caffiene drinks still will hydrate you in some form...Looks like tooters article may have some answers... This has always been something that drove me crazy...

It woud be a diaretic as it does contain caffiene. But it will help with your fluid intake as it won't take every bit of it's liquid out of you. Have you had trouble getting enough fluids in or jus****er? Have you been dehydrated and had to have IV's lately? If so I would avoid the caffiene. Personally I LOVE diet peach- best stuff I have ever tasted since snapple took etheir "Air" line out in 1004. Diet peach air... sigh... Clear, no cal's or caffiene... you could taste the fuzz on the peaches.....YUM! Tea has antioxidents you know.. Here is the rundown.. Caffiene content Coffee 18.13 mg/oz Diet coke 3.75 mg/oz Diet pepsi 3.00 mg/ounce Diet snapple tea 2.63 mg/oz I drink it in the mornings (snapple or DP) but tend to drink all day so have not hafd trouble with fluid loss.. Gina, Have you tried Crystal Light*? Before, you could cut me and I'd bleed Diet Dr. Pepper and now if I have one, I have to let it go flat. The carbonation messes with my stomach. Wal-Mart makes a brand and I like all of the flavors. The On the Go kind are great to just add to bottled water. There are herb teas and decafe coffee and teas to try. So many flavored ones too. I'm hoping to have surgery by the end of March and I'm sticking to my water. Take care and good luck, Cathy

has anyone checked out the stats of the Fruit20 Peach. I drink it now, preop and it's really good. But to be honest, I didn't check out the sugars or sugar alcohols....don't know if it contains any. I would drink Fruit20 to remain hydrated after surgery if the ingredients show it's good for us. Shelli
