Julie, you meant this for other people, not me. Right?

Thanks for posting this. I struggle with this same issue. I cannot help myself from weighing daily and nothing anyone says will likely change that. But I do need to take  it easy on myself about the loss.

Thanks for posting this.  I'm starting month 3 and this has been on my mind daily.  I needed to be reminded of everything you said here!

Great post Julie, thanks for the advice.   I am not newly post-op but I still need to hear this!

Can I get a hallelujah? I agree wholeheartedly, and I would like to add: you (general you) are not a failure because you had your heart set on being a size X and didn't get there. I see posts, though thankfully not as many, in which someone is convinced she's a failure because she's a size 10 but her friend Sally is a size 2. The size in your trousers doesn't define your post op sucess. Stop comparing yourself to anyone else.

Uhhhhh . . . when you say "the size in your trousers," what exactly do you mean?

Oh boy, talk about a double entendre. That should read 'The size tag', otherwise that's a completely separate problem, possibly needing a urologist or trip to the ER after four hours.

Ok, good. Should I also stop comparing myself to everyone else?
