NSAIDS/Motrin

I am currently 9 years out from RNY surgery.  I've been having issues with my knee and was wondering if I can take Motrin (as an Anti-Inflammatory, as Tylenol Arthritis doesn't help).

Thank you

No, unfortunately NSAIDS are off limits forever due to risk for ulcers, which sucks for arthritis. You might try topically applied peppermint oil. It makes a huge difference for musculoskeletal pain.

Motrin is an NSAID, which is a no-go.

Have you tried topical stuff like Tiger Balm or Icy-Hot?

Biofreeze is my pain reliever.  You can also check with your doctor about a cortisone injection or Tramadol.

Just make sure not to scratch your eye after using Biofreeze before washing your hands. OWWW!

Biofreeze helps me on the rare occasion when I have issues from my RA.
