Hi WLS family!!! I am 10 years out and obese still, realize this is bigger than me, however i am trying to maintain healthy daily bms without using an herbal tea etc because when i stop using aids my movements are very constipated. Any advice?

Have you tried increasing standard fiber consumption AND water intake?

I dont digest fiber good, i become ultra bloated, my system is all jacked up from this procedure :( Ive tried a green smoothie cleanse but i become so bloated, i dont mind taking aids to use the bathroom but i dont like to take them all the time. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a natural routine that made them go

You no longer have a normal system, so you will not have normal BM's without help.  If you don't want to drink the tea, you can take magnesium tablets instead or fiber or another laxative.

Citrucel is the only fiber that will not cause gas and bloating.  It will change your life.

Have you heard of the squatty potty? It's a foot stool that helps change your position when using the bathroom. My mom had her RNY a year ago and has been having issues ever since. I just bought her one this week for her birthday (weird, I know), but she just texted me today to say she had her first normal BM since surgery. And that is after just three or four days of using it. I had heard great things on a post somewhere and decided to check it out. It has really good reviews on Amazon.

My sister got one, after seeing it on "Shark Tank". She swears by the thing

magnesium oxide is a natural way to keep things moving. I typically add it to my night time vitamin regime when I feel a bit constipated....or things are not moving along as quickly as they should.
