What are you afraid of (just curious)

I am wondering what folks are afraid of. Like the goofy things, maybe clowns or something like that. I am afraid of heights and bugs getting caught in my hair. What is your quirky fear?

I hate hate hate those damn things. I grew up on the Texas coast where those things are way too common. 

I had one skitter across my foot while doing a ghost walk in Charleston. I let out an "Eek!" and commented how I hate roaches. The walk guide said in her sweet, genteel southern accent "Oh honey, that's just a little ol' Palmetto bug!"

"Um, no...that's a big ol' flying Texas ****roach!" was my reply. Palmetto bug...palmetto bug??? 

Ooh I hate those water bugs! It kinda freaked me out when I saw that there were bugs so big that they could fly! Keep me away from those cicadas!

When we lived in New Orleans, I went to the bathroom once in the middle of the night. I didn't turn the light on first. I sat down, and....it started scratching my butt. 

I leaped up, screaming. I'm sure he was doing the same in roach-speak. That thing was nearly three inches long.

I woke up the whole house. My husband ran in thinking I was being murdered and so did my daughter. and there I was with my cheeks in the breeze, mooning God and everybody and crying.

I HATE roaches.

Yep. Add that one to the list!

I don't mind clowns if they're the party/circus kind.  Hate the scary, in the woods, kind.

I'm not really scared of anything, but I don't like flappy things, like birds or moths - ok at a distance, but I don't like then flapping anywhere near me.  We get miller moths in the spring and those mofos get everywhere, I have a dedicated moth killer slipper in my bedside cabinet, just in case any make it into the bedroom!

I don't like anything touching or grabbing my neck.  I am terrified of being strangled.  Even some turtlenecks and heavier necklaces bother me.  

Balloons and any creature that has more legs, arms, wings or eyes than me

being restrained,as in , tied down.
