No comfortable sleeping position

That is COMPLETELY me, in fact I think I may have posted this ;)

My knees hurt so much at night because the fat is gone. Bones lay on each other. And my shoulders hurt, and my back hurts. I try laying on my stomach, but I have a lot of loose skin now and it gets caught up. And my girls are very saggy and they fold over. Who knew.

I didn't know... in fact, every night I curse my knee bones for rubbing together... I've developed this new position, with one knee jacked up higher... but then I knee Riley in the back when that knee is facing him...

The thought never crossed my mind to try a pillow between my knees... but now I can't get the thought of the 'crotch pillow' out of my mind, and I'm not sure I can do it

I use a c-shaped travel sized pillow between my knees. I got one super cheap at a close-out store like TJ Maxx -- the best part is that since I can hook it around my thigh, I can flip or turn without losing it. Also, I don't have to worry about confusing it with my other pillows.

I also have a tempurPedic mattress. I cannot say enough about how worth it is.

The possible solution to the 'crotch pillow'...

I like this option A LOT.

Question of the day... is it washable or can it have a pillowcase?

I found out quite by accident -- we travel cross-country 6 to 8 weeks in the summer and I often telecommute while riding in the car -- and thus, my neck can get quite sore. So I bought this pillow super cheap -- it's memory foam with a microfiber cover. It ended up being far to solid to be comfortable on my neck -- but one night in the hotel with the knee issue I decided to use it for that. I didn't want to use a hotel pillow that someone else would be using in the future. (Yes, I am well aware that worse has likely happened with those pillows...)

I've also been known to use it as a butt pillow when sitting on my wooden stools in the kitchen for a long time. It has a strap on the one side that makes it easy to slip on a handle (I think it was designed to strap around a carry-on pull handle)

ANYHOW, it worked so well, I kept it as a dedicated "knee pillow" -- and the cover is removable and washable. However, TMI - I don't think to wa**** that often. IN my defense, my knees are quite a bit removed from my crotch... lol ... and I wear pajamas...

(slinking away to go wash my knee pillow's cover...)

do a search for knee pillow wedge. they are specially designed for placing between the knees for side sleepers and really help! and no chance of confusing it with the head pillow!

What about a mattress topper? You can get a memory-foam mattress cover for a reasonable price at places like Overstock.

I've noticed a lot of the same issues. I'm a side sleeper as well, and the knee on knee was surprisingly disconcerting! I have another issue, though--I always laid my arm down my side and hip while sleeping. Now, it's not comfortable for 2 reasons: 1) I can feel my hip bone (still freaks me out), and 2) it's no longer wide enough for comfort. I find my arm slipping off, and I have no idea what to do with it!

I never thought I'd miss all that cushioning, but it sure is a huge adjustment to make!
