Not only am I a bariatric patient (DS - 2 1/2 years out) but now battling breast cancer. Had lumpectomy already, no chemo, but will be starting radiation treatments in the morning. Just curious if there is anyone else out there who have completed cancer treatments and still been able to do plastics?? Just curious for future reference.

Congrats to completing your surgery and starting radiation. I have had plastics after my treatment (but I'm pre WLS). Are you wondering if you can do skin removal surgery post cancer? If so, my PS told me that once I got my weight off and was stable and my disease (cancer remission) was stable, to come see him regarding skin surgeries...well 6 years later and he's still waiting--I hope he hasn't been holding his breath?! So, I presume it will be possible for you! I mean, if they can rebuild boobs, why wouldn't then remove excess skin and fat cells that may still be releasing hormones we don't want? :D Good luck, and saying prayers for you!!!
