Any feedback would be good.

But..it's not vegan. Didn't you post another thread asking for help since you want to be vegan? I'm genuinely confused.

I've never heard of this working for sure, but maybe someone who knows can chime in. Age at surgery, genetics, how long you were morbidly obese are really what determine how much loose skin someone ends up having.

The only real fix for loose skin is plastic surgery.

Can confirm; the manufacturer's site says it's made from fish.

I sure did. No Collagen is Vegan. This I am aware of. I am also not 100% Vegan just yet. I am intaking yogurt and drinking Isopure which has 40gms of protein (whey isolate)..

I am just exploring all options..

Thanks

As we lose weight, our skin sags because we've grown extra skin around our fat. Collagen won't do a damn thing to prevent or improve it.

Ignoring the veg*n issue with collagen, I do add 2 TBSP of Collagen to my breakfast protein shake every day. Why? I honestly can't remember. I'm sure I had a good, well-researched reason for my decision at the time. I would NOT rely on it for a primary protein source.

Hi Gwen,

No, I wouldn't rely on it for protein source either. The RN at the clinic said if I want to use it for 'collagen' reasons after week 4, I would be safe to do so.
So just looking into feedback and experience.

I definitely don't use it for skin sag. As evidenced by the list of reconstructive surgeries in my signature below :)

Hmmm...Just when I think I have heard of EVERYTHING :)

But...come to think of it...a couple of weeks ago, on the tv show "The Good Doctor" they were using tilapia skins to cover a lady's badly burned skin...

So...maybe fish is a skin thing, now ????
