Be ever vigilant.

I agree with so many of the other folks here about theirs: It's been easy. It's been hard. It's been amazing. It's been scary. It's been exciting. I lost weight. I gained confidence. etc, etc, etc. But above all else, that **** can come back so fast and therefore I need to be always 'on' to prevent that.

One last time

Never gave up

Kept it moving

The other side

New Life Challenge

One last time is my original, not often used screen name. When I first set up an account OH asks for a screen name. I couldn't think of anything else other than I'll give this weight loss thing a shot one last time. Cuz frankly after this I figure I might as well hang it up.

Never gave up is for all the stalls & food funerals, head hunger, etc that I was going thru as I worked my way down

Kept it moving is for all the times when I did fall or was less than perfect in my eating, or the drama that would go in in my head, cuz some of the **** really was only in my head. So I allowed myself my pity party, then got back on track & Kept it moving.

The other side is living the life I always wanted & couldn't. I'm not at my ideal weight, but I'm loads better than what I was b4. The life I'm living now is way better now than b4. I still have my inner demons to deal with, but I get better all the time.

New Life Challenge is the brief stint I had with maintenance, found out I sucked at it. I'm getting off the regain, but maintenance will probably always be a pita, at least for a little while.

Taking Less Medications

The main reason for doing WLS was to get off of the many medications of the 10 I take daily. Today I only take two. My diabetes, BP, gout and acid reflux are all gone.

1. It Never Ends

2. Still Worth It

Maintenance is forever for most of us, and I have to always be diligent. But I have no problem with that because it is still sooooo worth it! :)
