NSV-I can't find shorts in Hawaii and more!

NSB #1 I had to settle on shorts that don't fit. I'm on vacation in Hawaii and I needed some shorts. I hit 3 stores including Wally World and I couldn't find 30" waists, I had to settle for 32"!

NSV #2 I've walked 5+ miles per day in flip flops! I've also snorkled so much that the fish and turtles are getting closer to me. I even did a manta ray snorkeling trip a few nights ago. Quite the contrary to my previous trips here where I felt like I was dying and my feet were killing me.

NSV #3 For once I'M NOT COLD!!! I got to take my polar fleece off as soon as we got off of the plane. I went shopping for shorts immediately. I'm laying in bed with a nice fan above me, no sheets on me and I'm in just underwear and a t shirt! WOO HOO!!! I'm so comfortable that my wife actually suggested looking at retirement here.

Maybe you should have gone for a grass skirt instead. Go completely native!

I love this one, as it really hits home! When I was a 4XL-5XL, I could never find clothes in "regular" stores. Now that I wear S/M and ~30" waist, I can never find those sizes. I'm starting to think all stores are stocked exclusively with L-2XL and 34"-38" pants. Haha.

Congrats on such a problem!! I lived in Oahu for 4 years and I recommend H&M in Waikiki. It's a European store and they have men's sizes starting at 28. Also hit up TJMaxx and Forever 21 Mens.
