How do you track protein shakes?

I am curious whether people track protein shakes as both "food" and water on their tracking app. I am using Baritastic and have been entering shakes (ready-to-drink and ones I mix from powder) in my daily food log, but I have not been adding them to my water totals. I just started my pre-Op liquid diet today, so thought I would ask what others do. Thanks!

I counted ( still do ) them toward my protein goal and my fluid intake.

OK, so here's a follow up question. What if you make your protein shakes with iced coffee instead of water?

If it's decaf, then it counts as water. If it's caffeinated, it's best not to count it.
