A small loss can be a big win

At my current weight, a 4 kg (9 lb) loss doesn't make a visible difference, so I tend to see it as a small loss. But something that happened the other day made me think about it differently. I bought a 4 kg bag of cat food. Easy enough for me to carry out around, but I was glad when I could finally set it down,. That started me thinking what a relief to my body it is to lose 4 kg, and not have to carry that around all the time!

Something similar happen to me too. 10lbs didn't feel like a lot to me, but when I was at the grocery store picking up a 10lb bag of potatos...I realized how much 10lbs can affect your body.

I completely agree! I actually literally don't know how my body does it. I've lost just over 30 lb (which is the same weight as my 3 y/o daughter) and when I pick her up I think of how much additional weight that is on my joints and I think "well no wonder I had knee pain!"
