I would love that, thank you so much! My 3-year-old son loves to watch dog videos on YouTube, so we'll have to watch them together :)

It's good that you are seeing someone; and congratulations on only weighing in once vs multiple times; it's tricky to work through that but change starts with the first step!

Welcome to 2019 :)

1: My mind immediately goes blank when asked questions like this. I'm an avid Legoer. I've built most of the Lego modular buildings, the Tower Bridge, the Ferris Wheel, and the Sydney Opera House (the larger set). I've run out of space in the house for more sets, though, so the newest three modulars, the Taj Mahal, and the new, large Millennium Falcon are currently unboxed in storage. Some day... House 2.0 must have space for Lego.

2: A sense of connection. Knowing that other people are in this with me.

OH MY! have you done any of the Frank Lloyd Wright houses? I taught HS Interior Design and my students could tell he was my favorite architect!!! I even named my class fish after him. You should post some pictures, what a fun thing to do!

I have not done any of those sets since they're pretty small :/ I wish they made some in the 2000+ piece count range.

But FLW is one of my favorite architects - I got to see the Guggenheim in New York for the first time a few years ago and it's probably my favorite building in existence. Amusingly enough, my grandparents also had a house designed for them by FLW. It was never built, but the blueprints are still part of our family :)

That is awesome! I am amazed at so many of the Lego creations...and the patience to put them together!!

The big sets for "AFOL" (Adult Friends of Lego) are pretty freaking amazing. We'll be building something and have NO idea what we're actually building and then you put the last piece on and turn it a different way and it's like WOAH.

The original modulars are really neat too because they didn't want to design any new pieces for sets that might not sell well, so the Town Hall, for example, has croissants as part of the architectural detail in the trim. The Lego designers are so clever! (We're missing the first three of the modulars in the Wiki link because we started Legoing once those were already out of print and they sell for thousands of dollars now. Sigh.)

I think it takes us the greater part of a day to put a set together. Normally 4-6 hours, depending on the number of pieces. We normally set up on our amazing table which is, apparently, perfect for Legoing, and keep two-three of the leaves in and put a monitor on the leaves so we can binge watch some TV show while building. We sort pieces by color into comic box lids. (OMG, we're such geeks.) It's something Lance and I do together and have great fun. I think it's good to have those cooperative tasks to complete together - it improves out teamwork :)

I'm sad that we have all these sets in storage that we can't build, since I miss that a lot, but there just isn't space in the house for more sets. I'm hoping that House 2.0 will have a basement. Or maybe Lego height shelves down a hallway or something :)

Oh my gosh, I didn't even know about those! Those are so cool -- house 2.0 needs to have display space for sure, you could have a mini lego museum!

We haven't gotten to build one in a while, so I haven't posted about it on FB recently!
