Stress Incontinence - did you see a change after WLS?

Hi! I'm looking to have gastric sleeve during the summer time.

I have stress incontinence. Embarrassing, I know.

Wonder if anyone else had this experience and saw improvement after WLS.

I did have it and it was fully resolved after my surgery.

I had trouble with it before surgery, and it definitely cleared up once I got to a healthier weight!

I had it too. Mine completely went away with weight loss.

Same as the others. My periods got less painful and shorter, too. No more blob of visceral fat pushing down on the old uteroo.

Mine got a lot better but didn't go away completely, even at a normal BMI. It's soooo much better that I'm okay with it now.

Yes and no...Yes, I was so fat before WLS that sneezing, coughing etc caused incontinence, however I am an old lady now (Over 55) who had Ovarian Cancer at a young age and so now I get "trickles" sometimes if I wait to long or have a violent sneeze. There are really great products out there now, that are NOT our Mama's old depends. So you have a large variety. Good Luck. I know even just older women who leak or are incontinent, I think it's part of growing older?
