OK, I have to say that while this article irritated me because it made WLS sounds all sparkles and glitter. WLS (Especially RNY and D/S) can cause really messed up and BAD problems too. Autoimmune re-flares, strange new illnesses (Like adult onset epilepsy) Hypoglycemia, Mysterious Iron Loss and messed up lab results, etc. AFTER WLS you have to be extra vigilant and cautious, especially as you get older. However sprinkling dark glitter, I would still say I'd do this surgery again, Otherwise I'd more than likely be dead by now. But yeah, AFTER WLS your Doctors, and gastroenterologist, etc, are going to be your new best friends.

Warmly,

Jackie

Bariatric surgery could have both benefits and risks for your endocrine system. The effects on other hormonal systems are still unknown and are areas of active research mobdro.
