Weight loss is like a roll of toilet paper...

I don't remember where I read this analogy, but I came across it several years ago and it has stuck with me.

When you are big, like before or just after surgery, your body is like a new roll of toilet paper. When you start a new roll of toilet paper, it can be unrolled for a long time without seeming any smaller. But then you reach a point where it becomes noticeably smaller, and keeps getting smaller with every sheet removed. It's the same way with weight loss after WLS. It will take a while before you notice a difference, but once you do, it will start happening faster and faster. So don't get discouraged when you are in the first few months of weight loss. The changes will come, and soon enough you won't be able to keep up with them!

There are seven days in a week and "some day" is not one of them.

When we try to lose weight, the process can be so agonizingly slow that you'd wonder mobdro
