I would agree with what everyone else says try to find a good support system I'm not sure your doctor is connected to a dietitian office or mental health specialist if so definitely look into talking to them

everyone has a very different experience when they go through the wls process so it is important to identify your supports as your dealing with issues as they come up

Above posters have covered the physiological side of your dilemma well--and yes, this is your time while you are learning-practicing what need to be life long (if you wish to maintain weight loss) healthy and moderate eating habits. My addition is a question you should answer each and every time you find yourself visually/mentally grazing-searching for food because you are "hungry"-

If you think you are hungry, but are not "satisfied" with the thought of eating a bit of lean protein or good for you veggie ---You are NOT hungry

If the protein or veggie sounds good and satisfies you--You probably WERE hungry.

IF, however, you eat that lean protein-veg, and you are still NOT satisfied- You ARE NOT Hungry, and it is something else. Satisfy what that "something else" is: take a walk, read a book, find a craft, take a nap, connect with a friend, whatever (that's what the head work recommended is all about).

BECAUSE, if it is Not Hunger, Food won't fix it.

Honey you haven't wrecked anything and if that's your definition of cheating (wonderful protein filled foods), then you're going to do wonderfully.

OP cheated by eating things that were not approved by their surgeon at that stage. Protein or no, they disregarded medical instructions.

Those instructions vary so greatly by surgeon. I was eating solid food in the hospital after my surgery on day 4 after my open procedure. Their progression was that fast, and no, nothing broke. Some people are hungrier, some people really can progress faster.
