Lipedema and Lymphedema Pros...

Hi everyone, cross-posting here and in the Plastics forum...

My doctor suspects that I have Lipedema and Lymphedema (Stage 1) and wants me to see a specialist. Is there anyone out there that has gone to someone that can help or helpful tricks? Looking for a specialist is hard I guess since some Plastic surgeons do many other procedures as well (I'm seeing that liposuction is the only way to remove lipedema?

Until I can see a specialist, I got compression garments and they seem to help wonders. I know I posted about specific compression garments and I really wish they made 40-50's in leggings only rather than only sticking and ankle coverage (but they only go up to 20-30's since they said if someone needs 40-50's then they need help around the feet as well). I also found that 30-40's help as well, but the 40-50's REALLY keep me together.

The reason I want leggings is that I just want to wear something that I can wear flip flops in the summer. Wishing that they made the black compression stockings, with a lighter foot so it still looks like the illusion of being barefoot... lol

So, do any of you know of any specialists? I am assuming insurance will consider all of this cosmetic, so trying to see where my options take me
