What is your surgeon's personality like? Does it matter?

I loved my surgeon! I was very nervous to have the surgery and he was reassuring and mindful of my feelings and fears. I had another surgeon who I met only briefly in the office and then the day of the procedure, he just came in seconds before I was put under. Not personable and not present. I felt just like another number!
