Always running away from the camera!

Even though I have lost a lot of weight, I find myself still hiding in a corner when someone tries to take my picture. My friends and family have come to deal with my insecurities and mostly respect my wishes to not be photographed so the photos of me are few and far between. How I wish I had the confidence to accept who I see in the mirror but I just don't. Looking back, I have been like this most of my life except for in my really younger years. I just don't photograph well at all. Before weight loss surgery or after. My goal for 2021 is to take more pictures with my loved ones and to try and overcome my lack of confidence...even if just a little bit!

The secret for me is to find someone to take tons of pics and then you choose the best one to share. I'm talking like 20 or 30 while you just change angles ever so slightly.

None of those instagram models do it in one shot, why should you?

Also, practice how you stand in front of the mirror. Nobody looks good straight on like a mug shot lol. Turn your head, tilt your chin, practice your smile. Don't get stuck in a pose while someone faffs around with the camera. I've taught my partner to just keep clicking and I'll delete all the ones I hate!

Very few people look good in every picture I know I don't!

I am in the same boat! No pictures for me if I can help it.

I too face the same problem while taking photos and not satisfied with even one pic in a 1000 click...
I have tried different pose to make me a lean look but not succeed. I prefer only zoom out pics, but I would like to take zoom in pics and to try different pose.

I don't like my photo taken either! It's a lifelong phobia of mine.

My Mom showed m pics from like 20 year's ago. I was truly beautiful and I always felt fat and inadequate. Please don't let feelings rob you of wonderful memories.
