Has anyone heard about this procedure? I read a article about this being a Outpatient procedure for people who have had weight loss surgery who have gained some weight back and stretched their stomach. The Doctor uses a Endoscopic down throat and sew stomach smaller. let me know if you heard about it.

I'm 3 hours away from St. Vincents Bariatric you think my Dr here can order tests, I have a St Joseph Hospital her and Memorial.

That's the next step, not sure what they do. Can anyone tell me. Thanks

St Vincents Bariatric Center in Camel Indiana. The paper is a letter from my pcp about medical problems and recommendation that is needed to send to Insurance to see if they ok it. So I'm waiting.

I have Medicaid and Medicaid, my Dr sent papers needed to St Vincents Sept 20th and was told when called give it 4-6 weeks does this sound right. I'm not sure who I talked to not Dr Inmans office just the lady who answered. Thanks

My friend had the RNY 5 years ago and said she is now taking Bari Life, 3 in the morning and 3 in the evening 6 in all, that's all because the tablets were made just for bariatric surgery patients and depending on what procedure is done the tablets are more or less you have to take. If I get these will this be all I need of vitamins ? does anyone else take these ? I heard you get just the amount of vitamins needed.

I already have a card from last time when I was pregnant so they said to use that, I already had my Dr to send the referral to the Lakeland Bariatrics ahead of time because he was leaving the Pratice and he knows me and the problems I have had due to my weight and a new Dr( PCP) won't know me for awhile. I called the the place I wanted to go and they accept both Medicaid and Medicare. Should I call Lakeland Bariatrics in Holland Michigan, tell them now I have Medicaid and let them check into everything ?

I already have Medicare and I went last Friday to my appointment and they said I qualified for Medicaid so can the Dr's office check into the coverage to see if they will cover the surgery because I don't know what is the next step ? Thanks

It's not easy looking for a Dr, What did you look for in the Dr? I think I'm leaning toward Dr. John Schram he is in Holland Michigan Lakeshore Bariatric center and he is the only Dr I found that his practice is 100% Bariatrics , unless I'm missing someone. A friend had him as her surgeon and praises him. I'm not sure yet but he does take medicare and medicaid because I called and they said you have to have both. How long did you research your Dr, what all do you look for ?

how does the Dr decide this , what is the reason ? does he tell you when he see's you.

Has anyone went to a place called Lakeshore Bariatric center for your surgery, I heard Dr Schram is a really good doctor ? Thanks !!!

What is the best one to drink that doesn't taste that bad , are all equal in protein ?

You sound like me, I am 48, 4'11 and feel all my weight especially my knees. I have tried so many times to lose weight on my own for more years than I can count and have lost some just to gain it back. I know I need this surgery and trying to learn all I can. I will read the posts and read great things and feel really good about the surgery and then I read not so good things and then I'm confused once again. My friend say's don't read all the bad stuff, it doesn't mean it will happen to you. I hope to come to a decision soon !

has anyone gone there ? do you know if they accept Medicare and Medicaid ?
