Is it safe to have injections , such as Hyalgan, after having vertical sleeve surgery? If so, what type of injections are the best for pain relief for osteoarthritis? Thanks!!

I called my surgeon's office to see if I could get injections. I was told as long as I do not have the injection one week before surgery. Also, I can not have injections  until after six months after surgery. Surgery is in 2 1/2 weeks. I was able to get on injection in my ankle and another one in my knee. I am so glad I did this today. Now, I will be able to do some exercise during my first 6 months after surgery. Then if needed by then, I can go for another one. So, if you have osteroarthritis, there is a prescription pain reliever that is no an  ISAID. Treadmill and Eliptical...... here I come!!! :)
