question re wt gain...

Hello everyone,

Prob premature but i m mad. I weigh generally on Sat n Wed but decided to today since i weighed Tues and its the last day of mo.  Tues i was 297...today, 298.5.

ok...ive had my period once in a year...not peri or menopausal according to labs. Here was my nenu yesterday which it doesnt vary too much...

6 oz lactaid milk w/4oz Atkins shake

2 oz greek yogurt

2 oz broasted chick thigh

 

2 oz broasted chick thigh w/1 tsp mustard/lt mayo combined

.2 s/f popsicles

6 oz lactaid milk

dt snap

what m i doing wrong???

surgery was on 4/10 sw 350...no stalls etc.

a pound and half could be water retention i wouldnt worry too much i dont have a scale at home so i only weight once a month at my surgeons office good job and keep up the good work im almost 16 months out and ive lost 200 pounds so far :)

I don't know how far along you are , but weight can change by the hour , a cup of water weighs 1/2 lb so if you drank more water you will weigh more , you eat different food every day, unless you weigh yourself nude the cloths will weigh different

if your in the first few month post op your hormones will be messed up and you can retain water , also if you ate more salt, or certain veggies

I would change the atkins to a protein shake they have soy or egg ones if you can't eat whey , good whey is lactose free

 and don't drive yourself crazy if you don't lose or gain a lb if your on plan the weight will come off

 don't weigh yourself to often once a month is good, but no more than once a week or you will drive yourself crazy, I don't even have a scale , I use the doctors scale only ,it is a great scale and checked for accuracy regularly 

if you move your scale it will read different, tempatures will effect the scale 

your food looks great , are you drinking 65 oz or more of water?

you've never stalled before?  Consider this your first stall and forget about it.  Expect it to last 7 to 10 days... broken heart

Hi there,

No lol im thrilled! Im actually just afraid. I was so proud to get under 300 and now its going up...another full pound today. I guess what I thought starting at a high wt it would just go down for atleast 3 mos or so. Logically i know better but a 2.5 gain?? My darling husband just last night convinced me to sell/donate my sz 20/22 winter clothes sunce he says they'll b too small next yr. This is makin me re think that...sort of. 

Protein shakes Mickey, 

I havent  been able to drink them since surgery. At 4 wks out I was able to add 4oz of Atkins shake, which is soy prot, to my lactaid milk. I still cant get in but 45/53 oz of liquid per day. Im one who somehow gets full on liquids. Ive tried every brand n type. My Nut was shocked. Even tried crappy protein shots...instant nausea even over ice. I had a rough first 4 weeks with the drinking. Im still on soft foods as well which is fine by me. I feel good tho so theres my plus:-).

I stalled 3 weeks in. Then again, and then again. I just got through my most recent one yesterday. EVERYONE is different. I always compared my weight loss to everyone else's but it literally drove me crazy. I weighed myself everyday for the first 2 months because I was so paranoid. I WANTED to see it go DOWN not up. I drove myself mad. Great job so far Tia!

I weigh every single day. And my weight sometimes fluctuates so much it's almost unbeleivable. In one day I can gain 5 pounds. I keep it a few days and paff it disapear one day just as it came! I never had a stall except for now. But it is not even a stall it is just a really slow losing. Everybody is different bour journeys are different. So a gain doesn't really mean a gain. It will come off. It is a pause fir your body. A well deserved one I thibk, don't you? We put our bodies, our hormones through soooo much it has to settle down a bit to keep this huge work we ask of it
