Waiting on insurance approval

I have met all the requirements for wls. Does anyone know how long it takes bcbs to approve? 

I have BCBS NC and I'm in the same situation. I completed all of the requirements and everything was submitted early Wednesday the 8th. I'm still waiting to hear back. The wait is killing me. My coordinator said it could take up to 2 weeks to hear back. Please update when hear back and I will do the same. Hopefully we will both be getting good news soon. 

I spoke with the nurse at my surgeon s office and she said the same thing. Prayerfully they give us some good news before then. I'm from Fayetteville,Nc, how abou you?

I'm about half hour north of Charlotte.

I spoke to one of my friends at work who had wls in October. She said it took them 4 days at the most to approve. Hopefully it will be that quick for us.

I hope so the wait is killing me. I've actually spent the morning fighting the urge to call my insurance company to ask them if they've looked at it yet. I have zero patience and this has been a very long process, most of which has just been me waiting.

I couldn't wait any longer, so I called BCBS and they confirmed that I have been approved. Now I just have to wait on my surgeons office to call me back.

I have Blue Care Network and am waiting insurance approval I called surgeon's office on the 7th the lady in charge of sending in for approvals said she had just gotten my phyc eval and would be sending it all in that day and that the Ins company has 30 days to respond although it doesnt usually take that  long I am not a very patient person so the wait is hard. LOL

My friend had surgery in October, she said it only took Bcbs 3 days to approve. Maybe your insurance will be that quick. Remember it's worth the wait.
