Happy Monday everyone,

Well, after a couple ofslow weeks, my weight dropped from 295 to 289 overnight. Then popped back up and is working it's way down. So, I'm 289 in my heart haha but not on paper. Getting under 290 was my next milestone goal, so it's not official, but I'm getting so close! My next goal is 278, which will be 100 pounds down.

Haha!  I hate when the scale does that.  It's why I still claim my low weight as 168 even though it was a random scale fluke :P

HW: 319

TW: 170.3 (lol)
Next goal: I've got a few that are running concurrently.  I want the scale to always know I'm me, and not ask me if I'm my partner or me.  159.5 is "half the person I used to be."  And 150 is my goal for plastics which I need to reach by February/March.

So close! You can do it!

I've finally made it under 350, so my next goal is 300. As it is, I'm going to need new clothes soon. The other day, I put my hand on my hip and found a new pocket in my scrubs. It was strange that I had been wearing these scrubs for a year and didn't know there was a hip pocket. Then I realized that I've lost so much weight that my drawstring scrub pants' back pocket is now on my hip!

Oh I hate when it randomly drops like that - drives me crazy!

I feel like I'm in maintenance. Which I'm okay with after all this time but it's weird not seeing losses every week and I'm struggling with not feeling like a failure when I don't see a loss on the scale. In my head I know it's FINE and I love where I am but my heart lurches when the weight is the same you know? This whole thing is such a mind F!

I keep reading about the challenge of maintenance. I can imagine how freaky it is to go from being so focused on losing, to...not? The shift in thinking must take time to process, I'm sure! I'm sure you're going to nail your holiday goal!

As you see the eating is still out of control but that is my highest weight im allowing. Today I've been drinking extra water and that seems to be helping. We will see what tonight brings.

Look how far you've come! I think it's normal for us to struggle with so much change, but I'm glad to hear you've reached your upper limit! Time for some back to basics!

I know it's different post op, but, when I first started tracking my intake pre op, I made a few interesting observations.

When my eating went off the rails, it was often because I wasn't eating enough at the right time. For example, I'd get home from work, eat too much for dinner, then pick at food all evening. Then I'd feel out of control, and over eat for days on end. Once I saw the pattern, I was able to make sure I actually ate a substantial breakfast, lunch etc, so I wasn't starving at supper, and could eat a normal size evening meal.

The other one I realized, is I use food as avoidance and distraction. Once I realized that, I was able to work on channeling that nervous energy into something more productive. (This is ongoing, because food is a hobby for me, and I used to own a bakery, so I still have an interest in food, but I focus more on healthy stuff)

Im not suggesting that either of these are what you are dealing with, but that it is possible to break down what's happening, and find a way to curb it. One thing I've learned from this site, and the behaviorist at my clinic, is that it's as much about the why, as it is the what when it comes to our eating.

You got this! Your track record is proof!

Hello everyone.

I've been following these posts for months and I've drawn so much inspiration from all of you. I think participating in the weekly weigh-ins will help keep me more accountable so here goes.

HW - 386    SW - 309.8

TW - 297.1

I need to set more goals for myself, both on and off the scale, but my next target would be reaching 100 lbs lost and it would be great to get there by the end of the year. Long term I don't have a specific goal weight. The lowest number I've seen in 20+ years is 220 so it's hard to wrap my brain around anything lower than that.  I seems like lots of people amend their goals along the way so for now I'll say that I'd love to see a number starting with a 1.

Have a great week everyone!

Yay! Welcome to the board!

Yes, I've learned lots of mini milestones are so important! Some of mine are pretty random. My 290 one is because that's the weight I was when I met my husband 10 years ago.

278 is 100 pounds down. 267 was my longest stable weight in my 20s. 232 was my lowest adult weight. 230 is where my clinic put my estimated loss at. And then 199 . I'll be honest, I can't wrap my brain around this one, because I was probably a young teen when I weighed that, so while I keep the long term goals in mind, I truly try to only focus on the next mini one.

Like today when I weighed in...290.6....sooo close!!!
