I had been holding steady at 143 pounds a year ago.  Nothing has changed per se in my situation (still eating when I am hungry and good foods).  My weight is now 129.  I have had blood tests, ct scan and stomach scoped with no conclusions.  Has anyone else experienced unexplained weight loss with rny?

I, too, had been very steady at 166.  Over the summer I lost 20lbs.  The Drs explain it away as being more active over the summer as my blood work is normal.  I think there is something more to it but I'm not medically trained. I also had a scope done.

Wish I had an explanation for you!

Yes.  I have had great trouble maintaining and/or gaining weight for a few months.  Foods I have tolerated well until recently now make me ill, and I have no appetite. Did your gastroenterologist make any recommendations? We (my bariatric surgeon, my endocrinologist, my new GI dr, my family dr, and even my new therapist and my psychiatrist + me) are still investigating my issues...

Well, it ended up being "anxiety" that I didn't really know I had! With some medication and lifestyle changes, I have gained some of the weight back.  Its unbelievable that anxiety and stress can do this to a person! Everything else checked out normal for me.
