How do you keep from having low blood sugar?

I'm 62, diabetic, HBP, joint pain.  My BMI is 40 and all my doctors recommended I have WLS.   I'm scheduled for the sleeve June 24.  I have to do preop for 1 week.  I'm very worried about my BS going to low.  I see my surgeon next week and will get more info but wonder if anyone who has gone through the VSG has tips.  Thanks!!

I was told that the RNY procedure is the only one that works on Diabetis, you will have some low sugars after surgery, but docs will adjust meds, you will be off some of them when you leave hospital.  best thing I ever did for myself, saved my life.

I am 12 weeks out.. I left the hospital with no diabetic MEDS and I went from a 8.2 A1C to a 5.7.  My PCP is over the top.  I am more than happy with the diabetes results not to mention the 65 lbs lose. I wish I had this op years ago!
