come on-join in..."You know you're a web TROLL if....."

Sorry, there are people who weren't around back then. It's a good story, so sit back and have a read: A while back, there was a new poster who showed up on this board and said she had the DS and had an embarrassing story to share. She then proceeded to tell us all that she had accidentally pooped her pants at work and had to go home embarrassed. Several people chimed in and said "Wow that's terrible!" And assured her that it was certainly not normal that she should have lost control like that." Well, she then informs us all that actually, she always has to go about 20 times per day. (She's posted a couple of times earlier about how much she hates her DS.) And she says that's normal for the DS. A lot of people actually expressed concern at that point and assured her that having to poop 20 times a day is NOT normal! (That's going more than once an hour...assuming she also gets a few hours of sleep at night.) We told her that if she really was having to go that often, there is something VERY wrong with her DS. Not to mention the dehydration and imbalance of electrolytes! (And she claimed it has been like that ever since she had her DS.) At this point, I think she realized that claiming she was going 20 times per day might be too obvious of a lie, so she revises by saying something like, "Well, sometimes it's only 12 times a day." But she insists that her surgeon even told her that this is to be expected with the DS. At this point, we're all like, "Who is your surgeon? Because even going 6 times a day is NOT normal for the DS." We're all basically worried at this point that she got butchered by some inexperienced surgeon. Although, by this point, some more clever DSers were started to suspect that this poster was "full of crap" so to speak. She goes off the deep end starts getting extremely angry that anyone would suggest that she's not really a DSer. So we persist in asking her who her surgeon is. (Oh yeah, and by this time, a bunch of RNYers started posting scolding the DSers for being so mean to someone who obviously is suffering with the horrible side-effects of the DS. Puh-leez.) She finally comes out and tells us who her surgeon is. She gives us the name of a lesser-known surgeon in Australia. (And gets all snotty, saying "not that it's any of your business!") Just so happens, the surgeon name she chose to pretend did her surgery really was in the news recently for having had several patients experience severe problems and had lost his privileges at the hospital or something. I don't remember the details. So now, some of us are a little concerned that maybe this woman is for real. Maybe she'd been butchered by a surgeon who didn't know what he was doing. (Although, to be fair, a good number of DSers still suspected this was all bs.) The more the thread went on, the more her story wasn't adding up. For one thing, she claimed she was a medical researcher. (I guess she hoped to sound more believable...by the way, this may provide some clue as to which RNYer she really is.) But, a medical researcher who didn't know anything about her own procedure??!!! I mean, why did she think it was okay to have diarhea 20 times per day? Oh another funny thing! She referred to her "stoma", and several people had to point out that, with the DS, there IS no stoma. Anyway, it goes from tragic to hilarious when guess who shows up? An actual patient of the surgeon she claims did her DS. And this patient tells us all that she knows for a fact that this surgeon has not been performing the DS for the past 6 months or so. (And by the way, I never shared this before, but I actually did my own snooping (because I didn't know who to believe) and discovered for myself that the actual patient of this surgeon was correct. He had stopped practicing at the time she said.) Well, just so happens that this fake DSer's claimed surgery date was during the time that her surgeon was no longer doing any surgeries. Oops. So her story is unraveling quickly. And here's the best part. Finally, over from the RNY board comes forth an RNYer who posts to the this now HUGE thread. She's done some searching, and dug up some past posts from this troll. And the very first post from her, she herself admits to everyone that she is a poster on OH under a different name, but that she has made this fake account name in order to respond to threads where she doesn't want people to know who she really is. There is also a post from her posting on the RNY board a question about her pre-surgery diet, as she is about to get her RNY. (She undoubtedly forgot she was logged in as her "fake identity" when she accidentally exposed herself as an RNYer on the RNY board.) So now, even some of the friendlier RNYers are coming to the DS board to let us all know that this girl is a fake.  So finally she was exposed as an RNYer who was pretending to be a DSer. She hates DSers. Apparently, she was hoping to freak people out and make them think that DSers poop their pants and have constant diarhea. I guess it was her attempt to try to make the RNY look better than the DS or something? I don't know. After her own buddies on the RNY board started scolding her for being so stupid, she quickly disappeared. She's undoubtedly a regular RNY poster, although it's not entirely clear which one of our lovely friends over there she is. (Although we all definitely have some suspicions. I'm pretty sure I know who she is.) And the funny thing is, she STILL sometimes logs in under her fake DS profile and posts stuff that she hopes no one from this forum will see. Like when people on the revision board ask questions about how to get their RNY revised to a DS, she'll show up and tell them that they do NOT want the DS because it will make them have constant diarhea. And she'll tell them a bunch of lies about the DS and pretend that she knows what she's talking about because she's a medical researcher and she has the DS herself...and it's terrible...blah blah blah. We all have to keep our eyes open for her, and warn people that she's just a troll who hates the DSers and thinks she's somehow getting revenge on us by making our surgery look bad. Her username is Donkey. How apt.

Is that how the whole DS and RNY battle got started? That is horrible. In my opinion there is no surgery that is better than the other. It depends on what will make the patient happy in life. For me and me only RNY is the right decision. But, DS does have its own appeal as well. I just wish that every one could gey along. We are all in this battle against obesity,

Sweet B'Jesus.  That was quite a story.  It's official, I'm at a loss for words.  WOW!  There's certainly no shortage of crazy people on the internet.  Can you imagine having that much time on your hands?

We have a new troll today!  Why is it some RNYers are SO against people getting the DS that they'll resort to trolling this board with flatout LIES in order to turn people against it?  This person just posted that DSers wear DIAPERS.  IRONICALLY, she was posting to a girl that is seeking a revision from RNY and DOES wear diapers!  Bwauahahahaha!

Irony is a ***** ain't it?  I still don't understand putting that much effort into a crazy alter-ego.  I prefer to do my evil work while the world is watching me.  :-)
