Protein content of weevils?

In the UK there has been a product recall for microwave popcorn. Some of it has little insects, weevils in it. Non-DSers have complained.

Anyone know the protein content of weevils?

Is it sad that I think of that?

yes, they are one gram of protein per ounce of weevils. Seperate the weevils from the popcorn and ask them to stand quietly on the scale.

The squad leader of my weevils just reported in with 4 grams of protein per ounce of weevil. He says they are very much like crayfish on a smaller scale. Of course, I can't verify that without a magnifying glass.

As a lady from southern USA I can so appreciate this thread!!!

Are these BOLL weevils? Because there is actually a monument (statue) to the boll weevil in downtown Enterprise Alabama. It is thought to be the only monument to an insect pest in the world.
