Thanks to the DS
Yesterday my family and I went to an amusement park and I could fit in the roller coasters. Yeah!!!! I caught my self going back to the old feelings of "will I be able to fit". It was so much fun. I forgot what it was like to ride them. It was such a good feeling to able to take my 9 year old daughter on the coaster and not being embarrassed when my butt would not fit and then my daughter crying because she couldn't ride because of me. What a good feeling. The sad part about it was my mother could not ride the coaster because she wouldn't fit. But I am so excited that I don't have to worry any more if I fit.
Happy Mother's Day to all.

Congrats! That must feel amazing!
I used to love amusement parks as a teen but haven't been there for the last decade due to my weight. I also had to decline going with friends to see one of my favourite comedians live because I was petrified of going there of either not fitting at all, or barely fitting and spilling over onto a stranger sitting beside me.
So for now, I can live the fun through the DS family here by reading posts like this one.
